May contain: text to housingiskey.com

Renters and landlords have enough things to worry about. Past due rent/utilities shouldn’t be one of them.

Financial assistance is available from the State of California for income eligible renters and their landlords who have been impacted by COVID-19 and have past due rent or utilities, or who need help with upcoming rent or utilities.

Eligible renters can also receive help paying future rent, to help them stay in their homes, and 100% of up to 12 months of unpaid or future utility bills.

Visit HousingIsKey.com for more details!

Who Can Apply?

Landlords who have income-eligible renters experiencing a financial hardship due to COVID-19 with past due rent.

How Much Rent Relief Will I Get?

Landlords can get reimbursed for 100% of past due rent dating back to April 1, 2020.

Eligible renters whose landlords choose not to participate may still apply on their own and receive 25% of unpaid rent dating back to April 1, 2020

Assistance is also available for unpaid utility payments dating back to April 1, 2020, or for future utility payments, which will both be compensated at 100% of cost, limited to a total of 12 months, and paid directly to the utility provider.
