On December 11th, the District swore in Troy Gatchell as a new member of the Los Osos Community Services District Board of Directors.  Director Gatchell said, "As an 8 year resident of Los Osos, I’m committed to the sustainability of our water basin and continued excellence in our community services. My time volunteering in Surfrider’s Know Your H20 organization gave me a unique perspective of the water issues that face our state and community. I’ll bring years of experience in computer engineering and business operations; providing innovative solutions to our community issues. Having served in the U.S. Army drives my sense of community and teamwork. Together, we can build a community that we are proud of and one that will thrive into the future."

Also reelected was Director Marshall Ochylski and Christine Womack.  We are excited to see what the future holds. Our next Board Meeting will be held on Thursday February 4, 2021.

How to Recycle Batteries

Different Batteries, Recycle

From our friends at IWMA -

You can take your batteries (any type - AA, AAA, button cell, rechargeable) to any store in SLO County that sells them, for free. They will dispose of them properly. Batteries should be fully discharged.

Because batteries contained chemicals that can ignite, it is important to dispose of them correctly, and not toss them in with other trash and recycling.
